Well the feeder has been out there to get the deer comeing and it has been doing just that, but no matter what you do out here where im hunting you are gonna have turkey problems even befor I put the feeder out you could see their sign all over the place, I seen probably over 100 turkeys during last years deer season alone. You will see them when youre just rideing through the club all the time. We are just so over ran with turkeys it aint even funny I wish they would let us hunt turkeys like we can hogs all year and no quotta.

My season in Texas is November 7, 2009-January 3 for open firearms. I still have 2 months to go . Looks like fishing will have to take its place until then. In Arkansas, my season will be from Nov. 14-Dec. 13, 2009.

congrats!!!!

My employer/father-in-law is a HUGE hunter. Out of curiosity, we placed a feeder at the office (we have approx 40 acres in the back woods) to see if we could get anything to come to the feeder so that my little boy could start practicing on coons, hogs, possums or whatever. Within 2 days there were yearling deer tracks going to the feeder. Hopefully momma will come as well and in return bring Bambi's daddy shortly thereafter. Would be neat to go out and shoot a deer on lunch. I know its very unlikely, and Im not expecting anything, but it sure would be neat.

Aint had no luck at the bow stand I went this past Tuesday and seen 2 does but they were a good 80 yards away and wouldnt get any closer to me so I layed off that stand for a few days and im goin to go this afternoon about 4:00.
Alright enough on the bow hunting my gun stand is goin to be pretty good I do believe, got 4-6 deer out there every morning about 7:15-8:00 and late in the evening all does right now but I have another possible 8 mabey a 7 out there couldnt get a real good pic of him, cant wait for gun season I think its gonna be the best one Ive had in a few years.

Southern buck congrads!!
I was out last weekend for OH.'s bow opener, passed up a 6 & an 8-pt but the weather was terrible with pouring down rain and 50 MPH wind gusts.
I also checked my trailcams and got pics of some really good bucks since I checked them last. I posted them in the trailcam forum. The OH. gun season doesnt start until the monday after Thanksgiving.Pike
