Here is a start... It took me an hour and a half to get the the island that I hunt which normally takes about 15 min do to the fog and flood...there was logs the size of my house rolling down the river. At one point I could only see about 20 feet in front of my boat do to the fog and I had to drive via GPS to get there. I finally got in the tree late at 7:48 am and I was pissed at this point. I pulled up my bow and knocked an arrow...hung it on the tree...turned off my gps and put it in my pocket and looked up and there he stood at 18 yards. Pulled the good ole Mathews of the hook and let it eat! He ran about 75 to 100 yards torwards the boat. I know he is small but I needed some meat for the freezer. I normally would pass on him but O'well.

Sweet! Freaking Awesome, but we need a story to go along with this. Also, a score would be great too! Again, congrats!

Come on now, the season has just started and we haven't even hit the rut yet. Just make sure you are out when it counts and I'm sure you'll (at least have the opportunity to) score big.

Way to go t, nice way to start the season. You guys sure shoot some small ones in the mid-west.

Your only dead weight at the end of the season with a tag still in your pocket. Ask me, I have been an anchor the last 2 seasons.

I am heading for PA in the morning for a couple of days in the big woods.

Hey man, looking at the pic again, I just realized I have the same knife as you, buck pro-line zipper. That thing sure makes quick work of field dressing the deer doesn't it? The only thing I don't like is the the gut hook jams up with hair when I'm trying to slit open the belly so I just use it for cutting tendons around the bladder when I don't want to puncture anything.
