Small? hahaha--to me that is a nice big ole buck man. I have never killed a buck that size. Cool story and even nicer that it played out like that based on the persistence you showed getting to your stand.

When are you going to post the pic and score on the official score card? I have only seen a handful of 120 class deer on the place I hunt in the last 10 years.

On a sidenote, today I witnessed the after-effects of a bemmer tagging a 150 class buck at 60 MPH. The damage was akin to someone hitting a telephone pole, the car was completely totalled. BTW, this was about a mile away from my house near a golf course. Apparently this guy was living in a small patch of woods next to it. I need to become a (sub)urban bowhunter

Congrats T, now we are on the board! Nothing wrong with that buck what so ever. I would be happy to put my tag on him!

I wish this freakin rain would go away for a few weeks so they can start getting the crops out in earnest around here.

Well fellas, I had my chance tonight and blew it. This rain is moving in and the deer were on their feet from 5pm on! I missed a very nice 8pt. I estimated him at 25 yards. He was 29 yards! I was holding on the heart and shot right under him! I am about sick, finally the deer were moving and I got the chance at one of the bucks that I seen before season. Well the rain is moving in so I will take a little break and try to regroup! It has been a long time since I missed! It happens though, it just doesn't make me feel any better. I am going to do some practicing out of the barn tomorrow. Thta way I can stay out of the weather. I been battling the flu for the last week so I really don't want to get wet!
