Good Luck Baked....I have been in stand the first three days of the season, and as usual buck activity is slow for this early but it will pick up in a week or two. GL everyone

Just got back from our first weekend outing. Buck activity was pretty slow. My buddy got a buck and we both got does. But we did see a few leaving out today that I would like to see a little bit closer.

saw a squirrel, couple birds lol, acorns are fallin and it rained the whole tie, what else should i expect..

12 days of waiting left for me,lol! Going to pass it by with some shooting, squirrel hunting, and anything to keep my mind off the wait!

Hows everyone doing-man i wish the season here in NY would open!! Less than one month i will be hunting for 8-10 days in Illinois-land of the giants. Rut should be kickin in and i cant wait!!!

well ...wasnt an unsucessful weekend...fri nite saw a doe and she was about 50 yrds from me, and a 2 maybe that 3rd was big enough to be a point, or 3 point and he was 7 feet from me...lol i knew i wasnt gonna harvest him but boy was i shakin....then sat morin saw a med 8 point, but he didnt quite get in range and i was flippin a coin wheather to harvest him, but didnt matter , bouy 40 yrds away ..saw another doe tonite but jus wasnt feelin it...i got a few months left and aint in any hurrry to fill my tags, need reasons to go spend time in the woods....saw a 175lb hog about 65 yrds from me and another lil bity dude bout 20 yrds but wasnt wastin y las couple hours of daylight lettin everything in the woods know i was there (the hog woulda squealed weee weee weeeee all the way home)

no nada this trip but most definatly ore potential, as i saw from another guys cam...looked like a 15-17 points but angle of pic wasnt just right, he says 17, i say 15, but im usually wrong...whats it called when you think of the worse possible outcome on everything...yeah that...well gl 2 u guys/gals startin in a couple days, hope you are more successful than i was.

Finally...less than 24 hours to go...and NY gets to hit the woods! I'm getting together my usual items that go in my backpack...camo is hanging outside...bow is ready...going to throw in a few more practice shots today. And we have some snow on the ground...a first I remember for an archery opener since I've been hunting.

DAMDAMDAM people listen up!!!!!!dont ferget ur damn range finder...i threw down a stock on 3 does friday nite and was successful....but i left my rangefinder on the porch...sux, used my 40 yard pin on a 35 yaard deer...doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!clean miss but headed bak out this(sat) mornin...gonna st where i kno i should (the deer will be where i aint lol) gl huntgurl

3 does and 3 buttons but neither in my range...gonna sit between the 2 areas where i seen em at tonight...layin low fer now cause the winds swirlin, did i mention dont forget ur range finder....

I have 20 and 30 yards marked with orange flagging in my shooting lanes...no range finder needed:)

well i have only been at this place fer a couple weekends....so i was stalkin these 3 does and left everything in my stand..sux

went yesterday afternoon and saw 12...4 bucks, one shooter but he was 60 yards away...we are about to head back out...im filmin my buddy by the way but i got my bow also jus in case!

saw some more does that were 60 yrds away..and a good size 6 point sat nite....sunday mornin saw 1 doe and that same 6 i think, the doe was over 100 yrds, but that 6 point, jus like sat night was still 65 yrds away...we played picky boo fer over an hour this mornin...btw set the hog trap in buffalo texas, ol design with a new upgrade....the trap actually goes off now lol

Jake haven't heard from you in a while and was just wondering if you got your scored yet?

hey guys and gals, sorry i havent responded in a while. Ive called the taxidermist 4 freaking times, and each time he tells that he forgets and will get right on it. Im not sure what i can do to speed this process up. I will continue to check in with him, because scoring a deers rack can certainly not take a month to accomplish. I will keep you all posted with updates to this situation

Hey Joe when I saw that thread you started about the ny state record, my stomach went into a knot. I just knew that our team had shot a state record. Just wanted to let you know that you had me a little excited for about 3 seconds.

oh wouldn't that of been nice! yhe action has been alright i have passed up 3 smaller bucks already.my son shot his first buck a six point last night.both of us were pretty stoked!!! i will get some pics up soon.

that's great. my son is only 3 so it will be a few years until he can go with me but man I can't wait. By the way another unsuccessful hunt this weekend. I saw a decent 8 pt but passed due to the pictures I have seen on another place I am going in a couple of weeks when the rut picks up a little.

hey guys and gals the taxidermist called me toady when i was in class and let me a message with me score for my buck 111 6/8 gross and 109 net. i called him back after my class and left a message asking for a breakdown so now im just waitin on that, sorry about all this guys and gals

headed ot sat nite, youth weekend here so wish my daughter luk. takin the blood dog, i aint sure how she will actually handle shootin at a live target. will be her 1st if she scores. i do have faith in her but i make bad shots too sometimes and the dog is a better finder than people.

any luck? Its about 1:30 here and i just got back from helping a buddy of mine look for his deer. He shot a nice 8 with his smoke pole, but we trailed it quite a ways and then walked up on it and it kind of bounced off. We are headed back out at daylight in hopes that we can find it.

she did very good at keepin her cool, unlike me i was shakin like it was my 1st time..

she threw that 223 up in the window and took her time, waited on the greenlight very patiently and busted 1 off like a pro...through the shoulder and out the ribcage, it jumped 10 feet high and ran 20 yards and fell..she even tracked it herself!!!!!
