Old Antler Eater checking in for duty.....I will be leaving in the morning (Aug. 26th) basically for a scouting trip to Colorado for elk later in September. I am saying that so you guys know I didn't go AWOL on team double one when you don't hear from me for a while.

That's cool, do you have land there or know someone who does? I mainly hunt over toward Mt Pleasant at my Brother in laws place.

Great Bucks there Owl and thanks for the heads up Antler Eater. Great to see we have almost everyone here, I think bonzel22 has a couple days left before we need a replacement.

What is everyones goal this year (I think we can already see yours OWL)? I have a good buck I arrowed last year (shot him high, through the backstraps) and luckily he survived. I have video of him two weeks after I shot him and he was apparently unaffected by the wound that was healing up. Im taking a couple of does early and then it is on to him (he was a 9 last year that would have scored in the high 120s, low 130s). Pretty decent buck here for NC.

Anyway, glad to see we have nearly everyone here.

Hey guys, just bumping our team to the top. It looks like we need to name a captain and team name. Also need to get an avatar going. Any suggestions? This is my first year in the contest so I will take myself out of consideration for captain just to sit back and learn. Who has the most experience here?
