I finally got my license yesterday. Now I only have 3 more weeks to wait until I hit my treestand. The wait sucks!

Lastnight i went out and i seen a decent 8 pointer passed him up, then about 45 minutes later the nice 8 came in and i tried stopping him in my shooting lane and was at full draw and he took 2 steps after i bleated for him and walked right into the brush! So i just let him walk and now im pretty darn upset, 3 years and 2 sighting of that buck during hunting hours....

Way to go Noah, let's see those pics!
Had a nice 8 come thru Sunday morning, not quite big enough for being the first weekend out though. Probably 2 1/2 and around 95". It was good to finally be in that stand again.

Here's the story!!!
I got done with work early and rushed home and took a shower and got out to the stand at 4:35 pm Friday night. It was about 70 degrees in the stand and kinda breezy out. Didn't see anything till 6 pm till this guy comes out of the corn and starts eating on one of my small food plots with rape, turnips, and peas in it. He ate there for about 15 min and then slowly started walking towards me. He took his sweet time in the woods eating and acorns. Then he decides to bed down 30 yards from me behind a tree. He sat there for 15-20 min. He got back up around 6:30 and he was very alert. He never smelt me but it was a bit breezy out and it made him nervous at times. At 6:45 pm he decides to walk out to my big food plot with clover in it. I draw back and stop him in my opening at 25 yards. I let her fly I the arrow went in a little back but I could see the firenock go all the way through the deer and lit up on the other side of the long grass. (with a 2 blade rage). He ran about 75 yards into the corn and the rest is history
He weighed 175 pounds dressed.
