Awesome buck SRH!! I have to agree with O4L on the score. If he does in fact wind up scoring in the 130's he sure fooled me.

Well, I'm on my home. The Fat Lady has sung for this phase of the season. 214 hrs. in the stand in the past 31 days and only one glimpse of a shooter. I did see 14 different 2.5 yr. olds and had one hunt where I had 5 2.5 yr. old 8's and one 2.5 yr. old 6 within 30 yds. all at once. I was going nuts judging and deciding and as it turns out "no shooters". I'll be back after Christmas for the late season. Tough time to kill a nice buck but you never know. Season closes jan. 15th.

Thanks guys, I worked for that buck, and could'nt be happier that he came my way! And the day before the gun season too.
The score is broken down in the scorecard thread.

Keep at it team, it ain't hardly over. I hope to see some more bucks entered! Good Luck

Hey, that's a nice one! Congrats.

That's gross score, so deductions are'nt even figured in. He just did'nt have alot of mass, and no extra points to boost the score.
Unless I did something wrong, (I really don't think so) , that's what I came up with.

I only gun hunted one day, was just too burnt out and exhausted, and had a nice buck down already. Saw a couple of fawns, not much happening.
I'm not done though. I may take one more doe, and maybe even another buck. Only IF, he's bigger than this one

Nice buck O4L!! Rifle season's been open but I'm a bow only guy, I just didn't connect. Maybe after Christmas when they should be back on a feeding pattern. I did a bunch of shooting today and plan to stay sharp. I've decided to go "peepless" and shot surprisingly well without a peep today. I've only shot a peep for the past 5 seasons so the conversion was more going back to what I did for the past 35 yrs. I like it!! lol Keep up the good work and it ain't over til it's over.

Man, what a buck PBT. What a shame you didn't find him. How close did you come?
I guess your looking for a nice cape, rt?

I found him gun hunting, 200 yards from my stand in the thick stuff... What a shame, it grossed 156... (alot bigger than i thought it was) Wish I could have had that shot back, hit him a little far back. I think I just hit the liver and back through the guts. Oh well game of inches I guess..... I am very thankful I found the rack. I shot a buck in rifle and will be using its cape. But I am not done yet I have to hunt Maryland yet. So I will try to kill a buck there.

Good Luck in Md. - PBT. I've got lots of friends that hunt there-great state. I'll be moving my operation up there next season.
