Well, nothing to report from this mornings hunt. Saw a few really young deer but not even a decent sized doe to take. Decided to head home around 9:30am after a guy came riding through on an ATV. Trying to make it back out this afternoon.

Terry congrats on the doe !!

Jeremy... good luck hunting now that you finally get to go.

It rained again so I've gotten a couple more hunts in. Just seeing does in range. Saw this guy Thursday night in the rain but not in bow range. Not sure if I would shoot him or not. It would be tempting though.

He is a nice buck no doubt and we have a lot of history with him. We have found 2.5 sets off sheds from him in the last 3 years and he is 5.5 years old. I passed on him last year. Still hoping to shoot one of the bigger racked bucks. If he would come in bow range and in a moment of weakness I would shot... I still would be very happy taking him. Just a neat buck !!

well Opening morning was a wash it poured so i went in the afternoon, saw 2 spikes one was tny with horns barely coming out of his head and the other was a nice spike with about 11 or 12 inch spikes. He looked to be a 2 or 3 year old deer. I went this am and saw nothing im heading out tonight, hopefully that spike or something bigger comes out. I have my video camera so hopefully i have some footage to show you guys later.

Tim : The buck in the pic is a really good buck but if its not what your after hold out and hang in there, were moving into oct and the Bigger bucks should start to move around a little more.

As for me i am seeing deer just not what i am after as like some of you. Its still early though !

Good luck guys hunt hard.terry

TJF that buck would be the buck of a lifetime for me. I am jealous. Around here I don't see anything that big very often. Maybe evefry few years I get a glimpse but have not been fortunate enough to get a shot.

well sunday night the 2 little bucks came out i was gonna shoot the big spike but he wouldnt stay in my camera frame long enough for me to draw back and shoot so after about 5 attempts of mvoing the camera and trying to draw the button buck finally saw something he didnt like and the both jumped back into the little pine trees. Got some video of them eating on my bait for about 10 minutes though so it wasnt a complete waste. Kinda worried i havn't seen any does yet, but ive only sat 2 days so we will see

I got out before work today but had no luck. Didn't see any bucks. One really nice doe @ 52 yards but out of my comfort zone. She had to be at least 4 yrs old.
