I got very frustrated in Ohio this past weekend. I had a shooter come in within 15 yards but unfortunately he came in downwind. I watched him from over 100 yards away make several scrapes on the way in. I don't have any shooting lanes from the direction he came. He was coming good until he stopped, stuck his nose up and moved his head back and forth. He then immediately looked straight up at me. He stood there for 2 minutes and just turned and walked away. He was a 130" -135" eight point. A very nice buck. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

I feel your pain, had a similar incident about 3 weeks ago. Can't win em all. Hope you get another chance bud!

Default Bucks moving

The bucks are starting to show up here around home now. I had an 8 point come in at last light last night. I just couldn't see my pins enough to feel comfortable making a shot. Only saw does and a spike tonight. Hopefully I can get a crack at that 8 point with a little more daylight. Here's a picture that I got later that night.

Well yesterday I got to see my first buck actually chasing--although I dont know what he thought he was chasing. I was in the stand all day and around 3:30 he came through in a sprint with his nose to the ground. Not a doe went through that spot all day, so I'm not sure what he was after, but he was in a hurry.

Been quite slow for me. I'll get one more shot this saturday. Hopefully they are moving at home, so far I havent had the best of luck at home.

Way to go Bob!!!!!! My season turned up nothing. I only saw 1 buck and it wasn't legal. I guess this is payback for not taking one of the 13 shooters I saw last year. Keep saying he has good potential so I will let him go. Didn't get the chance to hunt on those places this year. Archery season is over so I am hoping that maybe after Christmas I may get out.

Congratulations Iowa Bob! Can't wait to see some pictures. Archery season ended here in PA this past Saturday. I hope to be going to Ohio again this weekend. I'm still kind of frustrated from last trip, but that's hunting.

Nice job bob.

I was out saturday and only saw 2 does on my walk into my afternoon stand. Was out all but two hours Saturday. Rifle season is up next and without a buck i'll be hitting the late season a bit.
