I'm with you Randy, but we still have plenty of time. The next 2 weeks is going to tell all though. I'm still only seeing does here at home but with the rut just starting, the bucks should be coming around any day now.
I am headed out to Ohio again on Friday. We are going to try and get a Friday evening hunt in so we are leaving a lot earlier. I will be back on Monday evening and will update then. Wish me luck! Good luck team 6!

Hit the woods about a half hour to late last night. I buddy of mine that has a stand about 100 yards away watched a small herd browse through my area right before I got in. That has been my season so far. Not going to stop thou, got the juicy part of the season coming and I took Friday off. Praying for good calm weather. Every day out has been rain or extreme wind.

I didn't get out last night. I'm hoping to tonight. I'm definitely seeing bucks out in the fields in the mornings on the way to work now that the time has changed.
Our position is falling fast guys. It's up to us to climb our way back up to the top.
Good Luck, Scott

Things are starting to pick up around here. Went out the past three days and saw 6-7 different bucks. I passed up a small 8 and a decent 7. They were both chasing doe's around. The big boys dont seem to be showing themselves quite yet. I have off three days next week as well, so hopefully we can seal the deal.

Season is looking terrible. Friday I was out and saw nothing until the last 15 minutes. Wind was terrible until about 15 minutes left. I grunted blindly and started getting movement. Ended up grunting in a 4 point. Saturday I saw nothing, but my son had a buck come in. He shot and hit it in the neck. We tracked it for 100 - 125 and lost the blood trail. Did not find the arrow. Buck headed for posted ground, which we where advised not to go over to. They will not allow you to go on. Son was broken, but he was told by several that it happens and if you continue hunting, it will happen again.

The rut has really kicked in around here. Saw 6 bucks chasing one doe yesterday while in the woods. I sat from 9:45 am until dark. I saw between 20-25 different deer of which 6 were bucks. Unfortunately the chasing was going on 100 yds away. I watched it for an hour through binos. 2 shooters were in the chase but none came my way. No amount of calling would pull these bucks away from that hot doe. Heading out again tomorrow to see if I can make it happen.
