Default Crazy 8 Hits the Dirt

Well I put my tag on one of the bucks I have been getting pics from since 2006 he is at least a 4 1/2 maybe 5 year old 5x3 I called Crazy 8, he was 196lbs without a stitch of fat on him from chasing the ladies for the past few weeks. Unfortunatly his demise was to the tune of my TC Omega Z5 and not bow but we haven't exactly been contenders this season. He scored 127 5/8ths and would have been 149ish if he had the matching 5x side on the right. Figured I would post a couple pics for everyone to enjoy. Good luck Gang

Canuck....Congrats on the buck
I went over to Brown County Illinois last week and got another Doe.
We forget to take a field photo so all we got was a truck pic.
Alas still havent gotten the paticular buck I am hunting... the last 2 times he came in on me I havent had a clear shot at him
Gonna try at him again tommorrow.

Default 11th hour buck

Well once again i wasn't toting the bow but lady luck was on my side last thursday in the late season. I left work around 3:00 got settled in at 3:48 saw some deer headed in from the East a couple minutes later and then caught movement to my right, noticed antler glistening in the sun and saw a 6pt followed by a 4pt followed by a nice 2 year old 130ish 8 but it was the monster at the back of the pack that made my jaw drop, they walked a hedge 75-80 yards out and into the cut corn to within 55 yards where I let the Z5 Omega bark and 40 yards later he was piled up at 3:58. Awesome mass, symmetry, and more importantly he is a good mature 4 1/2-5 year old, one of my best to date and to do it in the late season pumps me up. Not to shabby for a 10 minute hunt although the years worth of preparation is where it all starts and is the ultimate key to success.
