Was able to go out this morning and saw 9 deer, 5 being bucks. I had 4 bucks walk right out in front of me. The farthest was about 17 yards, but the only thing is that they were all too small. I'd say 3 or 4 of the bucks were 1 1/2 yr. olds and then 1 or 2 were 2 1/2 yr. olds. Great morning, but nothing that I could shoot came into range. Probably hit the woods again Sunday morning.

I'm down to 20 days. Those of you hunting in the PA area will have to let me know what kind of a activity you're seeing leading up to that. I'll be hunting October 24- November 6.

My buddy and I went up the a Management Zone to shoot a doe. I had a 6 and a fork walk directly under my stand. They both offered shots but I wasn't buying.

Hey guys,

Opening day was pretty much a bust for me...I got skunked in the morning and saw 6 doe in the evening. It was still nice to back in the stand though. Depending on how my wifes recovery goes this week i hope to get out saturday so hopefully things will pick up.

The Rut is getting closer and closer. Can't wait to see some of the Buck's that I have been getting on my camera at 9:00 pm.

Going out today in about 4 hours.

I might take a doe down tonight. I've probably seen a total of 30-40 of them (some may be the same) so far this year. My freezer is pretty empty.

Well so far, I've been out 4 times and got that doe on Sept.30th but so far it's been a good season. I've seen 14 bucks so far although they've all been 1 and 2 1/2 yr olds but it's a good sign. My dads seen some nice bucks, I think a 120 and a 150 class, so he's seen some of the nicer bucks we got running around. Hopefully, that big 170 typical we got comes out in front of me lol.

Gonna try and hit the woods in the morning. It' been rainy today and supposed to be tomorrow all day but we'll see. It shows that it might just be light scattered rain in the morning, so it may be a good morning to go out. Deer should be movng before it gets to rainy tomorrow. Put a fresh pile of corn out and see wha happens; if t's not pouring in the morning.
