since you told about yourself in the other one, ill tell about myself. im 18 and will be hunting central illinois(LaSalle county). last year i seen a lot of nice deer and hope they are nicer this year. i seen quite a few that would have scored over 150". i hope to bag one of those bad boys this year.

the main thing i love about this contest is getting to know different people.

Just checking in from Chicago burbs. Will be hunting Joliet, McHenry County, and west-central Illinois Schuyler County, all public land. Job with USPS likely will end October 1st so I may have a long hunting season! :)

who is up first to bat. mine opens sept 15 as you could probly tell.

mine starts oct. first, im going to get my card from my cam today, hopefully there will be some nicer ones on there this time. im shooting for at least a 150" this year. last year i lost one that woulda went 135" at least. i dont see the point in shooting little ones cuz they will just grow up to get bigger lol

well unfortunatly this is the biggest buck on the trail cam for the past two weeks. :confused0024: guess im waiting for the rut for a buck this year

they have a few years before i would even think of letting an arrow fly

Hey who all here will be hunting public land like me? Should do OK tho as I'll be on one of the best public parcels in IL.

i might hit some public land for the first time ever this year as i lost one of my leases this year. gotta fill in the time i spent on it.

I will be hunting mostly public land, But I think I have a nice little private spot picked out close to my house. I am going to speak to the landowner within the next couple of days to see if I can gain access to the property.

Ill be hunting east central and north central Missouri, all private land.

Where do you hunt at in NW MO? Im part owner of 200 acres just north of Cainsville (Harrison County).

I dont get up there as much as I use to but my friends still hunt up there. 5 hr drive from my house. Lots of big bucks!

im about an hour east of KC. have quite abit of area to hunt round here. also thinking of hitting a small area of public i found down on truman lake this year.

since we have most of the members maybe we should start thinking of names and a team captain?

What are the duties of a captain? This is my first time around so I vote for anyone but myself.

As far as names go I have been brainstorming all morning and haven't come up with anything I like!

I'll take captain if noone else wants it.
basically the captains of all the teams are used if there is an issue with an entry in the contest and to keep the team up to date. pretty easy work. not much to do.
