Hogghead. Congrats on the buck. But I hate to be the bearer of bad news though.

9. You must enter the first bow kill antlered deer you get.....second buck for you lucky states will not count. First buck means first taken regardless of multi state hunts. Also see rule 10.

10. The entry must be posted within 10 days of taking it OR notification must be made to the team, team captain, participating moderator or admin that an animal is down with description to determine that a participant isn't holding out for a better animal. This is not fair for single tag states nor those that cannot travel and hunt multiple states. The first antlered animal must be counted.

Congrats Hogg...and I, too, believe Jim is right about it being your first buck.

Here are some pics from the trail cams this week.

Now can I enter a Doe for some more Pionts for the team , If I take one ?
I guess I need to read the Rules LOL

Good Luck to EVERY ONE

Congrats hogg.
Past on two small does this morning in the snow and sleet.
Im not in a hurry to shot a yearling doe yet.
It was pretty chilly this morning, 30 degrees and a north wind 25 mph with sleet and snow. This will really get the bucks all fired up.

I went out this evening and scouted some new ground to hunt in the same area I hunt now. It looked promising from what we saw. We hunted after that in my usual area. The farmer still had a corn field up by the stand I wanted to hunt out of. I could only see 20 yards in all directions from where I was. I didn't see any deer from the stand. We did see 2 large bucks and 2 small bucks when we were leaving in the same field.

Hogg, u don't need to be sorry. When it is all said and done, you should be happy with anything you shoot, whether it's score gets counted or not. I'm happy for you.
