I really hope to have some good pics come this weekend. I put up a trail cam last Sat. on a awesome creek crossing I found. The deer have a trench going through there. I even saw a few rubs down in the swamp. This public land hunting in smaller states is difficult! Where I hunt in Idaho I never see anyone else..

Make that two of us. I am going to pull one of my cameras on Saturday morning. Hopefully I have some pics of a few of the nice bucks that are using the area.

I cant stand to see our thread at the bottom of the pile.
Lets keep it to the top just like we will be at the end of this butt kicking we are going to hand out.

Hee-hee, I was thinking the same thing. There is too much to talk about this close to the start of the season for many of us.

I am really getting excited about Missouri... I came to the midwest so I could shoot a booner Whitetail, Now, I just may have a chance! I literally dream about it nightly!

What is the nicest buck you have scouted so far this season?

Bow seasson begins the last part of September in Central Florida but I cannot ever get too excited about hunting when it is miserably hot, nasty bugs and swamps full of snakes. I am getting most excited about my November hunt in Illinois and maybe Arkansas this year.

We have an early doe season that starts on the 19th of this month. I am hoping the weather is similar to today...mid-high 70's, nice, north wind...partly cloudy sky.

...though I wouldn't mind high 60's either.

Getting a little pump up here guys. Season opener just around the corner. I get to go home sooner than I thought. Next Friday I will be back in Indiana. Wife and kids are coming to visit me in Ohio this long weekend. I have really missed them. It's the longest I've been away from them. I guess the 16 hour days made it a little easier on me.
