I'm the odd ball out there. I hunt residential and hunt with an Oneida Black Eagle, tipped with Thunder Heads. I'm out for another few weeks with these broken ribs but I will be out there and bag a buck. Still up in the air where/ which state I will hunt. Don't worry, I got the Avatar on my mind.

Sorry to hear about your broken ribs. Ouch !! Hope they heal fast so you can get out an sling some arrows out of that Oneida. Good luck this season!!

So are we all on board with GR8atta as our captain and Hooter Shooters as the team name?

Also does anyone know what was the grand total for the Dark Horses was each the last 2 years?

GR8atta2d 09-03-2009 05:02 PM

you could find the total in the archives. I forget what it was.

I'm shooting my New Hoyt Alphamax 32"
Easton Nano's topped with Rage 2 blades.

Team 13............The Dark Horses........Total Inches 866 1/8

So if each member nails down a buck scoring right around 87 inches we are right in this thing.

Now I'm not saying that I am going to stray away from my own personal goals and standards for the sake of the contest, but an average of 87 inches per hunter seems to be a goal we can achieve.

I am just itching to get out to check my cameras. I am going to the Illinois/Missouri football game Saturday so I will be out there to check on them Sunday and then hopefully have something to give me a hint as to what bean fields are being used the most so I can get some early season sets planned out on Monday.

GR8atta how do you like the Alphamax. I have always been a 100% Mathews guy, but when I shot a few arrows out of the Alphamax I must say I was very impressed with that small sample.

I loved them. Ive had 2:rock: They hold VERY well for a shorter ATA bow.

I was a Bowtech guy too...till I shot this bow. My plans were nearly 100% on getting an Admiral. Shooting this baby changed my mind. Needless to say, I love this bow!

This is the only shooter buck I got a picture of. He won't score much but these genes have been popping up at the farm for the past 10 years with us taking around 5 or 6 of these guys that have this messed up rack.
