I don't know if the bucks were just not in the rut, or the last couple winters have put a dent in the population, or the wolves that are starting to move in are really doing damage to the deer population... You can buy wolf tags over the counter for like 11 dollars now, so I am kinda thinking that thats whats killing em off... We saw a few sets of wolf tracks while we were hunting, so anyways... I never got anything, but it was fun... I saw 2 moose and 3 elk while I was up there... I think I saw a total of like 8 does over the 4 days.

Thats a nice buck Rammer! Do you ever shoot anything small? LOL!
Hog - I usually don't try to shoot anything small. I'm at the point in my hunting career where I don't need to shoot a buck to shoot one. I would rather let them grow up an reach their potential. I am a firm believer in doe management. Doe season is going to get fired up for me here as soon as I get caught up with work.

G'luck to the remaining guys on Team Surpass!!!

Hog,

You get a total of eight circumference measurements Four for each antler. I'm sure they're not all the same as you have them listed. Take a look at this: http://www.pope-young.org/pdfs/Score...al_r6-2008.pdf

Your h1 and h2 measurements will be below your fork. Your h3 and h4 will be around the center of each fork

Hog,

Now you have 12 measurements-eight are required....lol. Look at photo I posted. Take a tape and measure around the each antler at roughly those eight points (see the little black lines I etched onto your photo-there are four on each antler). Write down the results. Those locations are where your eight circumference measurements come from.

Inside Spread 11 1/8"
MB 10 4/8" MB 10 1/8"
GL1 5 3/8" GL1 5 2/8"
H1L 3 7/8" H1R 3 6/8"
H2L 2 2/8" H2R 2 2/8"
H3L 3 2/8" H3R 3 2/8" <-------<<<< are H2, H3, and H4 really the same?
H4L 2 4/8" H4R 2 4/8"
LH2 2 4/8" RH2 2 4/8"
LH3 2 4/8" RH3 2 4/8"Make the blue disappear! You only get eight.
LH4 2 4/8" RH4 2 4/8"
=68x1.39= 94.52

Well... Its in a container with a bunch of beetles, so I didn't want to disturb them so I thought both the antlers looked like the same size so I didn't think it mattered to much... Do you want me to find out the actual measurements of those?
