Fellas, last night I saw the buck I want to kill. He was a main frame 10pt with a huge right side, slightly smaller left side. His browtines were bent in, nearly touching at the tips. Great mass, good tines, I'm guessing he's a high 140's buck. I've seen some that would score a little better, but nothing with the character this buck has. He's public enemy #1 at my dads farm.
My honey hole (different property) will get hunted only when the situation is perfect. I have a stand set up in a funnel, during the rut its like a buck parade. Last year, I killed a really nice maple sapling while shooting at a 150 incher. Talk about making a guy sick. No deer were killed there (legally anyway) in 2008, so I'm hoping for a great 2009 there.
