Hey fellas....I dropped a big doe last night. I know it doesn't get us any closer to the crown, but here she is.

This week looks good for cold weather, but sketchy for wind forecasted. I am anxious for my turnips to turn as well, the frosts should do it. I am headed to twildasin's place with Rob on Friday for Friday night's and Saturday's hunting. It's always a heck of a fun trip.

Looks like a big one there Ben! Congrats! I was out in Nebraska for a week working and sat 4 times. My brother and I have a great Mulie that was coming down to an alfalfa field every night. He got to 80 yards of me one night and around 100 yards 2 other nights and didnt show on the last night. I really hope my bro can get him. He should gross in the 170s. I did pass on 2 130 to 140 inch mulies on the last night. They were right on the edge of my range and it was about 25 degrees so my "early fall" gear wasn't keeping me warm enough to hold very steady But it was a great week. Probably saw 30 deer each night and got to see some great sparring between the 130 inchers. Good luck to everyone... it's getting closer and closer to that time of year

Well all the surgery went well last week and is finally over and the doctor said yesterday I can go back to hunting as soon as I am able to pull back my bow and get in my stand safely. I tried pulling my bow back yesterday and it came back pretty easy!!! Can't wait, hasn't even been a week since the surgery and I am ready to get back in stand. Might be out tonight after work and if not definitely this weekend. Good luck all!

Sounds great 07.....we need a buck down. I am just seeing does and small bucks for now. Tomorrow night sounds like a mess. My next hunt will likely be Friday in York with Rob down at twildasin's place. Looks like a wet hunt, but we will be at it regardless. Stay on em boys and shoot straight.

I'll be getting out to hunt starting on Saturday, the 24th. I will also be taking the first week of November off to do all-day sits. Hopefully I will have some luck and be able to take a decent buck. I haven't been able to hunt since opening weekend and really have no desire to during this October lull. A couple more weeks and they should be up and chasing though!
