whats up team 10- I have been banging away at the geese here in central and western NY- hope to add more on the duck side of things when that opens up, not sure if I can get any more geese this september season.a few weeks agome and my cousin teamed up to get 5 birds- 4 of which had bands. we were so excited we didn;t notice one start to walk away, well he ended up flying way so we only recovered 3 bands out of 4 birds but still not bad. good luck where are you guys from?

RE: Team 10

Sweet man! Looks like you're doin good on the early season. The 10 gauge is handlin the birds pretty well :D

RE: Team 10

yeah it did that day, I usually shoot with a browning A-5 humpback in full choke, but I now have to shoot left handed and sometimes the right handed saftey will get hit in the safe position on the recoil. I might switch to my Ithaca 12 pump deer slayer with the 32 inch goose barrel in it. Get ready for pumping for deer season lol. That 10 is a pain to swing so i use it for jumping them primarily

Cool man :)

Ive never seen black ducks before. And nice dog... I plan to get a puppy around Christmas. :)

Ive found some great new spots, and Duck Unlimited is letting me go on a hunt on some of their property, so this "appetizer" season (26-30) should be pretty productive.

Just something that isn't important but is pretty neat: I usually pull up to the college parking lot around 7am. Usually around 7:15 I see a couple of wads of woodies fly right over the parking lot. One morning they flew directly over me... I almost yelled "cut 'em" haha!

That was my buddies dog, a big chessie. I ended up getting a double banded one hundred dollar reward black duck a few weeks back. The late season up here for duck and geese has been fun. our group on the opener got some ducks I have never seen up this close as well. the double mallardsis from me and my cousin for the last day of the other side of the road season.

The variety pic is neat

Great stuff buckclub, lots of variety! I tend to only kill ringnecks, BW/GW Teal, Woodies and the occasional mallard/merganser.

RE: Team 10

chris how is your season progressing? we have five more days here in NY for ducks.

got another double banded black :)

never thought my first year of really hunting hard for ducks would be this good, up to two hundred from uncle sam, and i wouldnt doubt that they were banded from the same spot

Chris_H 01-08-2009 01:07 PM

RE: Team 10

Season is going really well! I'll get my pics up as soon as I can.
