Well guys I scored with the Benelli this morning. He took a dirt nap at 6:12 AM. 22 lbs 15 oz, 9" +/- beard, 1 1/8" spurs. Craziest hunt Ive ever experienced. I have to go, but Ill post a story and pics later. Ill leave you with this, I had 8 raccoons within 3 yards this morning, yes 8...lol

This leaves me with the next 3 weeks to fill my other tag with the hoyt. I feel confident with as much gobbling as I heard this morning.

I missed a jake from 9 yards this morning[&o]

No worries though, that leaves me 2.5 weeks to fill my second tag with a gobbler instead, unless of course another jake comes in. I will kill a jake as my first bowkill turkey.

Ive had three opportunities to end my season with an even bigger gobbler this weekend with the scatter gun but refuse...Im holdin strong this time. Got REAL close to bowrange, but my confidence isnt there yet for a 30+ yard shot with all my new equipment.

Located a dandy of a tom at my girlfriends farm that no one hunts. Got permission, so thisis a go. Found his afternoon strutting zone with a perfect place to set the DB. Hopefully I'll score Tuesday when I head down.
