Summer Outdoor League Rules 7/13/08
#11

Challenging for sure, and as jbowersox mentions zeros,
they don't add up too fast, and, Iknow I"ll certainly have a few!
It will add a different twist from the last league. Hope participation
is a little better this time !!

Hey Hmthrfan, if you don't mind I'll put a post on the forum encouraging guys to sign up. Shooting in these things is great practice and lots of guys can benefit from it.

I have no idea what this means!!!!!
Or this,i hope you do explain what all this stuff means, might get more people involved......sounds like fun though............

- 6 ends per round
- 2 ends per distance

- Scored 5x-5-4-3
The scoring goes like this. Their are basically 4 scoring rings in the target. 5x is the innermost circle...the bullseye, 5 is the next, 4 is the next, and then 3. Shoot your 5 arrows add up your number score and the number of x's. For example, I shoot five arrows that score like this 4, 5, 5x, 4, 5x....My score is 23- 2x. The x's are used as a tiebreaker, so if someone else shoots 23-3x, they scored higher.
Hope that helps.

This is definitly tougher than the 3 spot. I did throw two
arrows away but they were just out. I might come in last again,
but this is making me shoot more at longer yardages and I do feel I am
improving there. I really only hunt, so shots are not longer than 20 yds. or so,
but this is making me feel more confidant at 30-40 yds. Even a shot just barely outside
the 3 ring would be a good shot on a deer. This is FUN !!
