Ok, I can fit 30 arrows a week into my busy schedule.:D

This will be perfect...Got to re-sight my bow in. Looks like it's going to be 20-30-35.;)

How does this work? Sorry for my lack of an actual question but, having never done this kind of thing, can you go over the rules, please.

EDIT: Sorry, just found the rules thread :D

Can one person shoot in both classes?

Is there a time limit between ends or rounds. IE... can a person shoot 5 arrows on monday at 20, 5 on Tuesday at 20, 5 at 30 on Wednesday, 5 at 30 on thursday, etc... etc... or must they all be shot on the same day within a certain amount of time?

Althoguh I don't think the rules state one way or another, I would think it would be most fair to shoot all arrows in one session to account for day to day differences in weather as well as day to day shooting ability.:D

I agree.

I think that the rules need to be as specific as they canabout things like this so that there are no doubts.

You know.... CYA. ;)

If you really want, I guess you could shoot in both classes. I've stated no time limits on this either and would prefer to keep it that way. If you feel it's ethical to shoot 5 arrows on Monday, etc.......splitting it up and knowing that the others are most likely shooting them all at the same time.........if you would be comfortable with this then by all means do that. Remember though, this league is for fun..................let's make sure to keep it that way. ;)

Thought this was a distance thing..maybe to prepare for the 40,50, 60 yard outdoor shoots, Now were down to shooting ..what 35 yards, in hunter class?

Another x count race...nah I'm out! Thanks for getting it together though..I (we)appreciate the effort.

Is anyone against making HC class, 20, 30 and 40 yards or most of you have a pin for 35 yards?

I'm going to Cancun for a week the 27th through the next Sunday, can I either shoot two rounds the week prior or the week following? I know I can drop that week but I'd rather shoot 4 rounds and drop the lowest.

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

I'd be completely open to 20, 30, 40 yards for hunter class. I said 35 because I was thinking of the guys with IBO hunter class rigs.

Gr8 - I can guarantee you this won't be an X shoot. This spot is just a bit bigger than a 5 spot 5 ring, and you HC guys are going to be shooting it at 2x the distance. I'd be shocked to seea single perfect score.

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

I would prefer 20,30,40 yards for the hunter class.

Hey guys, I'm new to this kind of thing. How many targets do you think I should buy?

Rob/PA Bowyer 04-14-2008 06:46 PM

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

Well then if it's 20, 30, 40...I'm in. I'll order targets but with me leaving for the weekend, I'll have to shoot 2 rounds next week.

On second thought, I'm probably out, with me being gone at the end of this week and no targets, I'm gone to Cancu a week after next week too so I'm not sure I'll get my rounds in.

Good, I ordered targets for both of us today. Doesn't matter to me what night we shoot, will probably be different nights each week. This is gonna be perfect practice for 3D this year......[8D]

I'll make that wager, but to be honest I'd be shocked to see a clean game here. It's too windy at your place.......

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

Since this is my first experienc ein anything like this can someone give me an idea of how this works?

Would I shoot the first 5 arrows at 25 yds, change the target and shoot the second 5 arrows at 20 yds and so on for each distance?
If an arrow is touching a line how does that score?
Can you shoot the 20yd distance one day and the 30 yd distance the next day, etc. or do all arrows have to be shot in one day?
Thanks.

Gundeck 04-17-2008 10:19 AM

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

You can shoot all 30 arrows at one target, just need to change distances. If the arrow breaks the line, you get the higher score. I think since it is only 30 arrows, they are wanting us to shoot all the same day if possible. Remember, though, that this is all just for fun. The last league was 60 arrows, so we could split them up on two days.

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

Finally, decent enough weather to head outside and shoot. I had to do some experimentation at first with a different set of arrows to set my sight. Actually, Ithink it still needs a bit of tweaking since I was a little low on pretty much all my 40 yard shots.

But it's great to be outside! 3D coming up this weekend.:)

Seems you may be right, Matt. (No big surprise there.) No clean round yet, but it is still early. Best of luck to all.

Do any of you know why when I copy and paste the scores and then submit them it gets rid of the spaces in between columns. Am I doing something wrong? The spaces are there when I edit it, but when I submit they are all gone.

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

Hey Rick,
I don"t want to sound too dumb; but where do I post my scores.
Never done this before. The most I can shoot at my house is 24
yds. so I don't get to practice much at longer distances. I Can
tell you this; right now40 yds.is certainly beyond my effective hunting range!!

RE: Official Discussion - 2008 Outdoor "HNI Round" League

OVB, if you go to the Official Scores Post - Week 1 (at the top), you can copy and paste another persons score to the reply area and then just change the scores to match yours. Don't forget to check the class to make sure it matches what you are shooting. Remember, it is all about having fun and getting some practice in.
