Holy crap......30X shafts?

What's the outside diameter of those Jeff?

I'm shooting them........lol, they are big.

They are .406 OD, basically the same OD as a 2613. I've shot them indoors for 2 years now, and shot them outdoors when I competed in ASA as well. They fly great!

Well I'm shooting 2613, so if they are the same size.......Yes, they're lincoln logs for sure.....They cut lines good though....;)

Hey Matt.....if you see this....

If I were to get these arrows ready for this weekend......would you shoot them or the x-cutters if you were me.......out of my 82nd at 60#'s (or so)? I know they'll be heavier....but I'm shooting a 40yd 3D on Saturday.

I could just wait 'til I get my 60# limbs and make the transition for good.....all at once. But...thought I'd ask.

Question is......is heavier necessarily worse?

I am confused[&:]

I'm shooting .306" CX Terminator Hunters (Walmart sells them so they must be QUALITY.) I wonder what I would score if I shot those big logs? You'd really be in trouble then Mobow.[8D]

Jeff:

I'd shoot them through paper at 5 feet, 10 feet, and 20 yards. If all looks good, then shoot them. Your still probably over 280fps anyhow........lol. Plenty fast for HC.

RE: Holy crap......30X shafts?

If the distance is known, or you're really good at estimation and the yardages are under 40 then the lighter/faster arrow isn't going to gain you anything over the slower, theoretically more stable arrow. Faster arrows really only come into play when yardages are mis-estimated. You should see the lob my spot bow (~200 fps) throws at 80 yard targets, it looks like the arrow is going 8 feet above the bail before it drops back in but the fact that I know it's 80 and not 80.5 lets me set the scope and know they're going to be in the white when I get down there. If I had to guess the range, they might not even be on the bail but my 320 fps 3D bow with only about 3' (estimate) of arc definitely would be.

In short, if it was unknown yardage, I'd go with the lighter arrows.
