Hey team mates just wanted to get with you all. I am in the Ike area so we have been out of touch since last Sat. Still have no power but water came back yesterday. Ike afected the entire area all the way to my lease so I have no idea what to expect up there. Season opens in 9 days but I don't know if I will even be able to get there by then. Gas is a premium around here and nobodys going on sight seeing tours. Will try and stay in touch as I can.

Just checkin in, been away at training for work all week. Hope everyones been shootin everyday or hunting if you seasons are in. Next fri i'm off to ohio and i can hardly sleep at nite. This past week really sucked livin in a motel not being able to shoot or scout or anything, just been doing alot of day dreaming.

I've been shooting everyday just waiting on opening day. I am going to have to refletch my arrows before then though have been tearing them up with the next arrow I shoot. I guess I just need to pick 4 separate spots to shoot. Save money...lol

Doing great...anxiously awaiting the first outing which, unfortunately, is not going to be opening day. No worries though...the nice long season allows numerous opportunities to get out there...

Hey Teammates,
Just wanted to let you know I survived Ike. Actually got a chance to go shoot last night for the first time in two weeks. My backyard range is gone but i improvised. Season opens this Saturday and even though I lost the last two weekends to make final preparations, I am still going to be there Saturday morning. I'll be hunting in some fashion I tell you.

just ordered a new bow diamond marquis should get it in a few days the company said it would be sighted in within 2 inches so ill shoot it when i get it to make sure hopefully be oct 4th

Just an update team mates. My first bow hunting opening weekend was a bust, I did not see a single deer. I was not disappointed though as twice I was able to get within bow range of some wild hogs, they just never afforded me a shot. And I had a fox walk within 5 yards of my set without a clue I was there. I have my vacation set for 3 weeks from now which should coincide with the peak of the rut so I will be spending 9 days at camp getting serious.

Well I gotta work all weekend, so Monday should be my first day. Just got a new string put on and ready to rock. Shouldnt take but an hour or so and I'll have it set up perfect. Just got my tags and license tonight.

lol yea work does suck... i was hanging a new tree starp for my harness and when i took the old one off the hook droped to the ground so im facing the tree and i look down to see where it went then glance behind me. big doe 15 yards trying to figure out what made the noise but never looks up at me so i finish takeing the strap off and set it in my pocket then turn around slowly just to wtach her and make sure nothing else was there. she never seen me or smelled me since she was down wind of me. that really built my confidence and when my new bow comes in tomarrow ill prob take a few nights to get used to it and fling some arrows then ill be back out if i get done work early enough anyway good luck guys

got my bow sighted in yesterday. hopefully will get to sneak out after work a couple days this week. The property i hunt is behind my parents house and he told me that a he saw one of the bucks i got on the game camera and he is a 10 point now. So hopefully i will get to throw an arrow at him.

Well, I got to get out there this weekend, and I did see a mamma and her 3 babies, but that was it. We're going out again the weekend after next and hopefully it'll be a bit more productive.

Sorry I haven't checked in lately guys. I was in Ohio 2 weeks ago now and on my second morning out I shot a doe and a small 6 point. Then on out third and final morning I had another buck at 20 yds for 20 mins but my tag was filled then out of no where a doe appeared so I smacked her. Wasnt sure what to expect as far as quality and quantity because we have neither here where I hunt in PA, but I really wish I woulda held out for a bigger buck because we def saw a few. But atleast I know what I can pass and what I can't for next year. I saw 1 doe and a buck that didn't pass the antler restrictions sat nite here in pa so I didn't get totally skunked opening day. I will get some pics posted here as soon as my g/f shows me how to do so. Also I guess I have to post my ohio buck in the contest since it was my first buck on the year, so I'll get his numbers on here ASAP. Good luck to the rest of ya, hopefully we can put a few on theboard.

been hunting hard since 10/4 first morning saw 1 spike and 6 doe
been hunting every night after work from 4pm till dark with not much luck
seen 2 doe total for after work hunts this full moon and warm temps are killing me

Went out this weekend. I was the only lucky soul to see anything. I had 2 does pop their heads up over the hill top, with the one eyeballing me like no tomorrow. I heard a lot more coming my way and just when I thought I was gonna get lucky a gust of wind came from my back and blew directly towards her. She bolted, tail up, as did the entire hillside. And as I looked up, she made the opposite hillside come alive as well...and much to my surprise about 6 more deer who were headed right towards me popped up their tails and headed right back up that hill. Major disappointment. We'll be going out again the first two weekends in November, and then not again until the weekend before gun season. We're hoping something gives. It's been a rough go. No one's seeing anything where we hunt (public land) and it's totally out of the norm.

Anyone? Anything? It's been very rough-going for us this year. We've been out more than previous years andhave seen less than ever! I'm not sure when the next outing will be. I'm tryingnotto lose hope.

We went out last weekend and although I didn't seen anything, the boyfriend did. Between 2:15 and 3:00 he saw 3 (2 bucks, 1 doe) and then nothing from 3:00 until dark. All 3 were too far for him to shoot at, but at least he saw something. Like I said, it's been bad for us this year. We're not even SEEING anything, much less having anything in shooting range. Ugh! We'll head out again on Sunday and then again next weekend and hunt with the bows on Saturday and Sunday and then gun-hunt on Monday and Tuesday. Oh, there is a bit of good news. We may actually have some private land to hunt on. That'd be a first for us. We'll see...
