That is a tough one. I work with a guy that told me he shot a B&C one year. I said, "Great, do you have any pictures?" He pulled out a bunch of them and I found myself looking at a solid 135 class buck. I told him that the buck wasn't a 170s buck and he assured me that it was. I asked how he measured it. I found out that he added the outside spread and the tip to tip measurement to his score! It was an honest mistake. I showed him where on the official scoring sheet that those were actually supplemental measurements and not included in the score.

A lot of people short themselves as well as some adding extra measurements. These are all honest mistakes. If something seems way out of whack, we will try to make sure that the scoring was done correctly. Hopefully, it won't lead to any trouble. I'm sure that all of the contestants want this to be done as fairly as possible.

Im not worried a bit with these 4 guys in charge, great idea Greg.
Yeah, except the official measurer Kelly/KY shorted himself on his own score last year.
Oh...that stung. What's 6 inches?

Good point, Greg. If handled via PM.....I'm sure NO ONE would have an issue with any "questioning". It's an "it is what it is" scenario. There shouldn't (read CAN'T BE) be any room for "interpretation". Hell if a tape measure needs to be shown in a photo I'd have NO issues with it.

Handled in PM.....I think this is a wonderful gesture. Kudos.

Hey guys, i thought all controversial calls were decided by a team captain vote? Im not talking about a matterof less than 5 inches, but the major follies?

Major follies will still be a majority decision, this panel isn't for that. They will work and kinda oversee questions on scores and if they notice a score might not be accurate either up or down, they can point it out to the scorer. This panel is not about controversy nor headhunting.

I'll come to the captn's when needed.

Is there a link anywhere within these threads that will allow you to print a score sheet or do you just go to Pope and Young web site
