Team, our deer season in NY has closed andalthoughI hunted hard I just didn'tget a chance at a shooter. It mighthave been that I just wasn't hunting where they lived as Idid spend considerable time in a 2500acre statemanagement gameland for the first time this year. I had high hopesand saw lots of bucks but nothingmature. There was the learning curve of new property of coarse and I'm not writing that place off just yet as I did find plenty of promising areas. My freezer is full none theless with the two doe I killeddurring archery and my girlfriends spike (her first buck) durring rifle season.

So who's still at it?

Oh, I guess you could say I am still at it though the winter weather has been keeping me at bay for the most part. I can handle snow, but freezing rain is a real downer. All the good bucks went back into their holes so my hopes are not high, but you never know.

And I am scoring that mule deer!!!!I scored it once but my wife threw away the paper I wrote it on so I never got to post it.
