Well done boys, keep up the good work. Buell, I'm jealous she is gonna be tasty!! I finally got back from Louisiana doing the hurricane relief work and now it's time to get it done. I saw 40 pigs on saturday night and a couple of deer, but nothing to get excited about! Hopefully that will happen soon!

Well guys, ive been out quite a bit, and have been seeing deer, but unfortunately this 70+ degree weather has the bog boys not moving too much. If it doesnt get too hot this afternoon im going to go give a new spot a try. Time will tell.

On another note, my brother shot his first whitetail deer, a spike buck. He got into hunting at the end of last season and was hunting one specific buck that was living behind his shop. He ended up seeing it 3 or 4 times and then had a shot at it, but it lost one side of the rack so he passed hoping to get him this year. I took him out last wednesday and he was hoping just to get any deer to break the ice and he saw 14 deer, 4 bucks and 10 doe and fawns. The spike presented a shot and he did the rest. im so excited for him, i can see the fire is starting to burn bright in him, he is already asking when im taking him back out!

Well, I didn't make it out this weekend, I had mis-calculated when the last pig sales were, so we were pig shopping all weekend. Good news is the barn is full, we are done buying now. Time will start to free up alot more. Weather was beautiful though, wish I would have been out. Just about 3 more weeks untillI can get really serious about it. I am ready!

Here's a pic. Story can be found here. http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.a...15&mpage=1

Finch, great jobon the buck, way to lead the way and get us on the board. I hunted a buck last year that was exactly like that one, no brows at all. Unfortunately i never could seal the deal. Anyhow, great work on the buck!

Hey guys, that this past monday i passed on a 7 point and an 8 point that we have on camera. The 8 was about 100". I know i made the right decision to pass on him, but im kicking myself now for doing it. My fall season tag expires on the 31st of this month, so there is still some time.
