Yeah, the quad they tried to drive through the cat tails started the fire. It was a gas rather than electric quad and I would guess all that fluff and dry cat tails didn't take much other than touching the hot exhaust to start right up. I got to watch the whole thing from my treestand. It was an exciting evening. O well, I think they will deffinately think twice about wher they drive from now on. They ended up losing a big platform blind that they had out in the middle of the cat tails along with their brand new quad.

Sounds like you guys have been seein some deer, won't be long and we'll be on the board! good luck everyone!

exactly... I missed the biggest buck of my life by shooting over his back...
Thank God I whacked him with the smoke pole later that season...

My shots the first one i jsut misjudged the yardage on a big ol momma. then i missed because i was rushing to get another shot off. Then a fletching ripped off my arrow and i didnt notice and it went wide left infront of her neck[:@]it was a good laugh though. I was hunting off the ground and before we even got set up i stalked a yearling into 30 yards i was hiding behind one tall soybean plant but she finally picked me out when i tried to draw. oh well.

Nice.. nothing was wounded... that's all that matters... trust me...i'm not one to point fingers... i miss enough myself... I just like to hear what others do so maybe I can pick something up for a future encounter...

hung 2 new stands Sunday... have 2 other spots that look great, and another 2 that are ok... plenty of options...
