Gents - another day slogging through the wildlife unit. I'd previously mapped-out a yarding area that was holding a pretty decent herd, and the snow finally melted . . . so . . .

Split brows, but one side's broken off.

A few yards later . . .

The match.

Kinda nice. I never had much luck: A. Finding decent looking sheds or B. Finding them in pairs.

I walked my nuts off for the remainder of the day. I did find at least one more solid stand site. I just have to find a reasonable means of ingress/egress. Good god. I cussed and crawled and grumbled and picked thorns out of my hands for the remainder of the day. That place is a massive mess of. . . mess.

It has deer though.

Too damn high!

Unfortunately, it was -3F when I hung it - and by the time I realized that it was too high, my fingers were about ready to snap off. No point in adjusting it today, b/c the batteries were dead and the bone's already on the ground.

I yanked all my cams today. I've seen all that I needed to see. Now I just need to decide where I wanna hang my stands.

Danno - that's gonna be a slammer next year. Huntable area?

So what's the shed count for everyone so far? I'm having my best year ever, coming in at a respectable "8" witha whole monthleft in the game.

I just want to be a smart arse. That is the only 1 to date. I'm at a family ski weekend this weekend, which by the way is going swell.[:@]The wife did a header on the 3rd run and blood was everywhere. Nowmy daughter is afraid to go,so here we sit at the hotel.Could have save the bills and stayed home and went shedding.

Same here Jason. I haven't been up North for a while. I have to get up there soon and get the food plots set. Between the trips I have on the table and the economy I have to take a look at how I'm going to hunt. I have some land available by my house I might hunt more. I've been out scouting all weekend and found a couple of areas that look good.
