Damn Dave... That's one hell of a buck.I think this is your year to tag out on a real banger.
I went out spotlighting again last night, and had a pretty decent couple hours. Saw about 150 deer, 30-40 confirmed bucks. Out of those,Icounted 10-12 2.5's and the remainder were all 1.5's. Except one.I got some more great footage of the bigsonofagun that I posted last week.
I'm pretty close to being dialed-in on himat this point. He's definitely a creature of habit - frequenting the same field all the time. I'm fairly certain that I know which cutover he's using to bed in. The downside is that this area will start receiving a lot of spotlighting activity here over the next month - and other people will find him. He's not light-shy at all, which is a problem.
Either way, I'm gonna stop out and talk to the farmer, see if I can make a go at hunting him. I have nothing to lose - that's easily the biggest buck we've ever spotted, bar none.
It's one of those deals where there will be other people who start to figure things out, and it's only a matter of time before somebody else gets sloppy in there and bumps him. Game over. So, my plan is to strike while the iron's hot and hunt that deer on PA opening day, if possible.
I'll post my newest footage tonight or tomorrow, once I get it edited. Was too tired last night.
Duke - I also think it's cute that some of these guys are using anti-horse team names. We've got the targets on our backs, for sure. I love it.

Am I imagining something or didn't we have Bamahuntin or something on our team last year? I think mvisgak never checked in - that was last year..... Looks like she hasn't even made a post since the 2007/08 signups.....
I would imagine we can still get alternates for those that don't check in....
