I keep getting that.. and he very well may be. I won't know a definite answer til I get the jawbone back.
But I'm way above average with my guesses.. and am usually spot on. So my gut says a 4.. so I'll stick with it for now.
I'll let you all know when I get word.

That is awesome Mike! We are starting to look pretty good.
I got my stand up on the new land that I got to hunt. There is so much sign in there that I think that the deer will be petitioning for traffic signals soon. There is an area where they cross the creek that is about 4' wide and is completely stomped out like an old cow trail, it is unbelievable. With any luck, and good wind, I will be hanging from the tree sunday night.
I think this is going to be a good weekend for the dark horses.

I talked to Fran on Friday he said worked sucked.
I had to takemy daughter down to Six Flags yesterday it was getting dark and we went up on the Giant Drop. You can see along way up there but I look across the freeway and I see about 10 deer in 1 of the feilds. Then boom the botttom falls out. I love halloween all these women dressing up ya I had a few naughty thoughts.
I'm off to Ohio on Wednesday morning. I can't wait I haven't whitetail hunted anywhere else but my land in atleast 6 years. Back to old school hunting.

Ya.. but he (Fran) also says he's got some eye-candy too. And as a construction guy I can honestly say how much I miss that about an office.
I hear you on Great America Dan-o.. always ladies dressed up real nice.
How's everyone doing so far? Al.. I bet your chomping at the bit!

Mike ive about chomped through the bit!!
I put the final touches on two stands yesterday. This makes 11 perminant stands ready for action with one stick and hang on ready for gunnin around. Ive got a climber too but i dont really like using them, all trees that you can climb with those things it seems like they have no cover.
Shot the bow today and got so pumped up i had to go walk around the field out back to burn off some steam andlook for fresh scrapes and what not. Nothing special though.
Its almost here!

Just checking in. I finally got to hunt Monday, it was beautiful. Saw three does in the beanfield, the closest they got was 70yds. Unfortunately I haven't seen any buck sign over near the beanfields yet. I hope to get a chance to scout again over there this weekend, but I don't see me getting another hunt in until November. Oh well, at least I haven't missed the rut! I have to set at least 4 days aside just for hunting when rut hits.
