Great buck Dan! I was happy for you when I received the text.
Congrats!
I'm close gents.. real close. The buck I've been after since last year is just a few moments away. This morning he was bedded 150 north of me in the bedroom I hunted in on Saturday morning. He left a telling sign for me.
I choose the wrong stand this am.. but soon I think I'll be in the right one.
Good luck gents.

Well done Dan!
Well gents its 12 days till take off, and im ready. Work is slowing down and the days are growing awfully short, im lovin it.
I just went up to Paul Smiths College in the Adirondacksto visit my best bud and long time huntin companion. Season was open up there but it would have been too much of a pain to keep my bow on campus where i stayed, so we didnt hunt. Instead we got out and climbed a mountain and had one hell of a good time... heres some pics.

Hit her in the peak of foliage

View from his dorm room, Mount St. Regis in the background, the one we climbed.

What funsa road trip without a traffic violation??[:@][:@]

I forgot to tell you guys that we didn't get to buy the land on the 4th. It sold for $1620 an acre for pasture! It would have been a great place to hunt but we will keep looking.
I did get another place to hunt close to where I live though. Lots of oak trees, a creek, alfalfa, looks pretty good. I think I am going to give it a try this weekend.
By the way, figuring out all of your first names when you all have the same avitar is a little confusing. Am I the only one that does not have the Dark Horse?

Daniel - yeah I think we all have the Dark Horse Avitar. If you want to change yours to match
you can just RIGHT CLICK on mine, and select SAVE PICTURE AS. Just save it to your desktop. Then go into your MY PROFILE and upload the custom avitar. Let me know if you have any questions or problems.
To bad on the land. Can't believe what some of these pieces are going for - it's crazy!! It's the same way around here. Sounds like you have some good places to hunt though - put in your time in the stand and it's just a matter of time
Should make it out a couple of times in the next week. I'll keep you all posted. Lot of rain (2+ inches the other day) which is slowing harvest. [:@]Need thatcorn to COME OUT!!!

Dan sorry to hear about the land. It sounds like you are hunting some good places though.Keep with it something is bound to happen.
I found out last night they are going to let my father in-law out of the hospital on Friday so that means i can go to Ohio. I hope I can get onto something good.I took my buck in to the taxi on Monday and she said it will be done by Christmas.
I hope 1 of you connects soon because it's lonely on the board by myself.
Jason is the corn ready to come out? Theres not much coming out here yet.
