It's starting to feel alot like hunting season now. 45 out this morning and I'm stuck at work.By the end of the month work will take a back seat. I walked outside this morning with it just starting to get light and I could feel the deer moving. You guy's understand. I'm still trying to leave by 11:30 on Friday my wife is throwing some wrenches in the mix but I should have it worked out tonight.

I hope Fran gets on that buck I sent him a keep warm picture yesterday.

Mike I alway's respect your insight about your hunting area's I hope it pans out for you.

Jason- Congrats on the little one! I have 2 little girls of my own and they are awesome!

I got off of daddy-day-care last night and decided to take tonight off to hunt (Thursday). Wouldn't you know it the wind is coming out of the west again which is the only way that I can't hunt! I thought about throwing the ground blind up on the other side of the creek where I hunt but the weather is still hot here and the chiggers are terrible.

Have no fear fellas. I have 10 consecutive days off of work right before rifle season (in the heat of the rut) and I will be hunting all of them! Hunting is slow here now with all of the corn still in and the hot weather.

Dan, My PA season starts here on Saturday but unfortunately I haven't seen anything worth shooting. I've had my trail cameras out all summer but the only bucks I've gotten on them so far are 1.5 and some small 2.5 year olds. So I'm not too optimistic in PA.

But as for Kansas, I talked to the landowner last week and he told me he was seeing a couple big bucks in 1 of his milo fields on 1 of his properties that I've never hunted before. So I downloaded some aerial photosand picked out a couple of stand sites so hopefully things will fall into place there.

Ok guy's I'm on my way.The temps are right and the wind is wrong for everywhere I want to hunt. I think I'm going to take the climber and make some luck. They are calling for a heavy frost in the morning I love those mornings. Good luck to all I expect a text from somebody with a deer down this weekend.

Al I'll be in Kansas from Oct.30-Nov.15. I work a 12 hour swing shift so sometimes it's hard to get back to normal on my days off.
