RE: Official Team 40 Thread
Well kids I'm back from Colorado. No elk, no bear, but what an adventure. I'll try to get a summary of the trip up a little later. Got to load some pics, etc. I learned a bunch, walked 40 miles in 5 days, saw and heard numerous elk and almost lost my rental truck over a raveen. Too much to go into and I'm pooped from the first day back from work.
RTA, great doe man. I got in Saturday, but just couldn't muster the energy to climb in the stand on Sunday. I'm back in the woods on Saturday.

RTA good job on that doe and great shot! Kelly, that sucks you didn't get to tag anything, but it sounds like you had an exciting trip, my father is on his way to Idaho today to elk hunt for a week. Needless to say I'm real jealous

Another Saturday and deer season still has not arrived. Stands are all up and the ground blinds are looking good.
I did go check on a loc-On which I had not pulled since last year. It's one of those standsI just leave up but reset every year. The stand was locked to the tree but someone took the time to climb up and steal a dozen screw- in steps on the way down. I would like to think it was PETA but I know in my heart it was another hunter.
Even though I can't hunt yet this chilly weather has my blood boiling and the deer trails stand out like sore thumbs.
I don't have to but I have two more Loggy Bayou cheap seats and I am gonna put them up. I have a couple of spots I marked on the GPS last year during the season that are just begging to be hunted. I looked at both of them last week and the trails look like freeways.
Such a great time of the year
