sad to hear about not finding the deer, but i know exactly how he feels. what poundage was he shooting?

Sorry to hear that he didn't recover his deer. Unfortunately that is something we all have to go through at some point in our hunting ventures. Tell him to keep his head up and he'll get the next one.

Thats too bad brother, just make sure he doesn't get too down about it, which I am sure you have. You guys hang in there and tell him we are all pulling for him to get a deer and good luck to you as well...
Last year my little girl and I set out to get her a deer with a rifle and our first few outings we didn't see anything shootable and she started getting down about it but finally a deer that we wanted to shoot gave her a shot, it will happen as you know, I also know how bad you feel for him. Again, you guys just hang in there and wait them out, I think you might have a good idea to wait a little for the cooler weather and some snow....Good luck to all youguys!!!

Only one more day guys!! I am so excited!!

I should at least get a doe opening day where hunting the morning, and a great chance for a buck on the second farm I am hunting the rest of the weekend.
