well fellas-I did not close the deal. I did have a great season having taken 2 very good Does & passing on a few small Bucks.
We can't measure hunting success by the size of Antlers anyway-it's about the hunt & thrill WE get from being in the woods & those "CLOSE" encounters.
If you DO measure success by those Antlers-your missing out on LOTs.
Good Luck to all in 2009.
Will be the start of my 53rd year & it's gonna start with May Turkey season & some Hog Bowhunting in June (set up already).I am hoping for some other off season bowhunts & some fishing to keep me & family busy till Oct. 1st..

Just a note-my Daughter that is a Nurse & 30+ just had a little girl BUT when she is well enoughI am taking her on a Bowhunt for a Buffalo (Sept. maybe).
It's a ranch hunt but will be extremly exciting for her. She was wanting to go deer hunting all fall but just couldn't because ofbaby coming.
Anyway, 2009 looks to be fun as I have a couple out of state Bowhunts planned with my Bowhunting kids. Hogs is another & hopefully Javalina in S. Tx..
