Here's another one from this year

RE: Official Team 42 Thread
Here are some sheds that my friends dad found Easter Sunday. New ground for us to hunt this year, I'm more than a little anxious to hunt this guy.
![]() Me holding them for scale.:D ![]() Killed this one Nov 1, 2006 ![]() 2007 buck (shotgun) ![]() We found this shed in March near the same stand the other 2 bucks were killed from. I'm hoping to see this guy, too. ![]() |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
That's some nice sheds...did you roughly score it?
|
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
Dave hasn’t told you guys that he’s a master photo shop expert?
Now Dave, I told you I’d let you see those pix, as long as you didn’t go pretending like they were yours.[8D] |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
They were over 190" using a 20 inch spread. I'm unsure of what spread to use for sheds??? I don't care what he scores, he's big enough lol.
Rybo is right, thats actually 19 sheds that quiksilver found. I fused them together with bondo and used gum.[8D] |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
![]() That's allright Dave. Go ahead and Kiss the Ring. |

dagger buck 2 checking in. My name is Tyler and I live and hunt in North Dakota. This will be my fifth season bowhunting if I remember right but have washed out the last 3 years. This will also be my fourth year in the contest. You can say I am quite selective on my hunting ofbucks that I will shoot or let live to see them next year. I am one of those people that gomature or go home. I have passed on some bucks that many wouldn't but that is how I roll. How I see it.... the more your out their trying to achieve goals that you have set forth, the more experience you get out of it in turn.
buttonbuckmaster... that is one heck of a pair of sheds. For that size a 20 inch spread is the way to go.It is better to underscore them now because once you bring him down, youwill be in for a bigger surprise. The season here starts August 29 which is coming up fast and goes into early January. I shoot a Parkers Buckmaster with golden tip arrows and not sure on broadheads yet. Maybe Muzzies or a broad head that shoots with my target tips. I will get some pictures of sheds from this spring and my first year bow buck. Right now having problems with the uploading procedure so it might take a day or two. For names...I am not a very creative 17 year old and right now I think it is a little too early for picking a captain. Goodluck everyone... Tyler |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
Hello boys! HUNGAR checking in. My name is Chris and I hunt in MI. I have been in the contest for 3yrs now I believe and have contributed about 180" of bone in that time. I just wanted to print 180", the totals were around 50", 50" and 80".
I am shooting a Drenalin at 72lbs, with CX Maxima arrows tipped with Slick Tricks 100gr. Just switched to the ST's last year and seem to like them over Muzzy so far. I shot 5 deer last year and three fell within sight and all had decent blood trails except one. The trail was ok and I found the deer, but it was a good shot (double lung, low exit) that I though would have given a better blood trail. I guess each deer bleeds different though. I will be hunting in MN from Nov.1st to the6th and would like to add to our totals over there, but if not I take a late season bow trip to the Upper Penninsula to hopefully add a sizable deer. Our season is from Oct. 1st till Jan. 1st, I usually get out about 60 days a year. Good to meet everyone so far and npockat32 if you need a hunting partner let me know! Nice pics, keep um coming. An early team name suggestion--- Widow Makers Chris |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
As for captain I nominate ABM (anybody but me):D I am semi computer illiterate and usually takes me most of a day to post pics.

Captain should be someone whos on huntingnet quite a bit to watch for any problems like what happened last year. Team name doesn't matter to me.

RE: Official Team 42 Thread
what is everyones experience bowhunting
I have taken between 75-85 whitetails with a bow, 3 turkeys, all of the feral hogs you could shake a stick at... started out in Fla when I was 14, now 38. Got more managment minded about 4 years ago, still taking plenty of does.Taken numerous small game fox, coyote. Used traditional tackle in my youth and progressed to Hoyt Was big into bowfishing while in Fla, nile perch(tilpia) and gar would consume summers I am full time bowhunter, no more rifles until I am 90 :D |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
I've been bowhunting since I was 12 ( 21 years) but I'm not sure how many deer I've killed with a bow. Over 20....not sure anymore. I've turkey hunted with my bow and we used to bowfish alot when we were kids. I managed to kill my first coyote with my bow 2 years ago. That was almost as much of a thrill as my first mature buck.

RE: Official Team 42 Thread
It's too bad does don't count towards your score! If they did, ya'll would win hands down thanks to Frank!

RE: Official Team 42 Thread
I am 36 and have been hunting since I was 12 and have been bow only for the last 10+ years. Not sure on the number of deer I have killed, but I would venture to say around 60-70.

RE: Official Team 42 Thread
![]() Last years contest buck. ![]() 2006 Contest Buck ![]() My '04 contest buck and my biggest buck to date. I've been bowhunting since i was 12 and i am 24 now. I took my first deer with a bow at 15 and have killed 13 more since then. I have dial up internet at home so i am usually only HNI when i have free time as work, so i would make a poor choice for captain. I am still working on some ideas for a name. |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
awesome glad to see everyone is as addicted as me,
I can be captain not an issue, what all does it entail only 2nd year in contest Still need ideas for name |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
Captain needs to make sure that all entries are turned in soon. Keep in contact with the members and be in contact with Rob incase of a controversy like last year. The pay isn't the best, though.[8D]

RE: Official Team 42 Thread
Hi Guys! I've got quite a few good bucks on the property.
http://sportsmansdaily.net/index.php...&Itemid=63 Take a look at the gallery. I'll update it with new pictures each week. We have one big boy 10pt that might go 160 + He is the washed out picture. I don't have one from the side yet but my dad saw him in one of our fields and said that the picture doesn't do him justice. Opening day is only 3 weeks away! P. |
RE: Official Team 42 Thread
My profile is 37 - hunting since I can remember. Only bowhunting 11 years. We have property in WI and spend quite a bit of time managing it for deer hunting. I'll probably get out most weeks this year. I build web sites and may take a week or two and work from the cabin. I'll be checking in on a regular basis for sure.
