IBH checking in
Hunting Jersey County Illinois with my Switchback...hunt some great areas with awesome trophy potential. Things get started here Oct. 1 and I try to make it out as much as I can. I already have my week off in early November to spend as much time as I can during the rut.
BOWHUNTER818--Were we on the same team last year?

Yeah we were....hopefully i have better luck all i got last year were SLICKHEADS......but i have a good feeling,,,,went out scouting last week and saw 56 deer on one side of the farm and when we went to the other side it was a little to dark to see but i got some good chances at some awsome deer we let walk last year....

Sounds good to me man
I hear you on the slickheads...thats all I scored on during too, however if you remember correctly I had some rough luck with two P&Y bucks during the rut. Last year I spent more time in the woods than ever before and saw more big bucks than in previous years, just couldn't score on one.
I'll be back out there again this year going at it as hard as I can. I have most of my sets hung but a few adjustments are still needed. Haven't been able to get my trail cams up yet and haven't been able to scope out the bean and clover fields like I want to. However the farmer onthe farm I spend most my time onsays he has seen somenice onesrunning around.

Yeah we own our property and we put Tcams out and you get pics but not good ones to dence of cover in the GOOD woods if you know what i mean...But my buddy last year of ML season shot a 14 Point 100 yrds from me that was the deer i was supposed to kill he was out chasing doe's and i grunted and he froze...( he came chasing from across the road) 1 mile away i watched him in the Binos the whole time....well he walked all stiff leged to me and then bolted then i hear a Shot go off not to far away from me and we got him..........and he was NICE! REAL NICE,,,but ill be chasing a main frame 10 or 12 IDK cant get really close to him with the Spotting scope but hes mine....150-160 Class
