Checking in again. Setup a blind yesterday after work along one of our access roads in the woods. Brushed it in the best I could and at about 6 had a doe and twins come right past me, they werent even concerned with the blind, has anyone here hunted a blind setup the same day as it was setup and had any success?

Sorry it's been awhile guys. I'm heading back out to Ohio tomorrow.
Last time out I was tempted by two 9 points and an 8 point. They were all 2-1/2 year old deer, so I let them walk.
The biggest 9 would have scored about 105. I'm looking for a minimum of 120". Don't know whether or not I'll see it, but if you don't let the little ones get older, you'll never have big deer.
I wish everybody best of luck. Hopefully, I'll come back with some good news on Monday.

I still think we have the potential to put up a big number before this contest is over.
We'll be hunting some very good areas and guys are already passing up bucks.
I leave for Illinois Monday................and I'll have 3+ weeks to figure it out. LOL

had a doe and a fawn 40 yards tonight ...... it was getting dark ....decided to let 'em go ...... so far came close to taking a nice 8 ....coulda taken a nice doe .... off to a good start.... dialing in

Well its been hard to get out the last few days and or nights, family stuff, work mostly. A coworker of mine is having a hard time dealing with an incident that a young man committed suicide in his presence. A young Trooper with 3 years on the job!! He has been off on Sick leave and everyone else is picking up the slack!!!
Saturday the 25th.look like the next time i'll be out!!!!!
