I cant catch a freaking break guys, Everytime I go, I get busted by the same two old mature does, that now know to walk down wind of my stand [&:], I think they need to be thinned out, deer that smart shouldnt be in the woods LOL
I am letting that spot rest tonight, and going out with the rifle most likely, then back to my other stand that has been resting since tuesday

Well, I went out this morning for a little wile. We got a ground cover of snow last night, and it was snowing like crazy when I went out. Man I froze! I am going to go sight in my ML now, and then I will be back out tonight. Oh by the way, all I saw this smorning, was one lone doe, I sure wish the rut would kick in.

Well guys......I'm back!!! Doc says all is good and I healed extremely well. (see my thread on the Bow hunting forum) I can't wait to get back out there and hunt! I'm back in the game boys!!!

Hopefully I can get a nice one on the ground before the rut ends but even if I don't I've got till the middle of January to bag a buck and I've killed nice deer late in the season before so I'm really not feeling any pressure, I know I've got lots of time to hunt!

Great to hear John! Get out there and put a hurtin on something!

I was out all day today...I had a 6 pointer at 15 yards but I was trying to get my brother a shot (13 years old and never shot at anything but targets)...he did well, and was about 2-3 seconds from loosing his arrow, but the little guy got nervous and took off...he looked at me afterwards and said "my legs were shakin!". We were on the ground for that encounter...so that made it even more intense!

Things are starting to pick up around here, we have some cold weather moving in and that should really get them going!
