Hey guys, thought I'd check in. I'm finally going to start hunting a little more. Most of my efforts have been down in KY so far this year. I was hoping to arrowa buck we've seen the last 2 years, before gun season came in. It didn't happen, and the chances of seeing much now that gun season is almost over will get pretty slim. Its been a warzone down there with bullets flying everywhere.

I will be hunting here on our IL farm all next week. I will go to the cabin after church on Sunday night and wont be back to the house for a week. Things are just now startingto pick up there. And I'm pumped about as much for a week off as I am for a week hunting.

With work andalot of family stuff I've not hunted nearly as much this year as normal, but I'm hoping to make up for that next week. Congrats to all of you who've scored already. If I can figure out how to do it on my phone, I'll try to check in. Good Luck.

Congrats on another score for the team. Once we get both bucks that haven't been scored up on the board we should make up alittle ground.

I had a encounter yesterday with a small 8pt and had planned on taking him but his 6th sense came into play and he backed out of my setup the same way he came in. He didn't spook or run, just got nervous and turned back and kinda snuck out without trotting or running. I'm at the point where I'm going to take the first respectable buck that I can because I have passed so many small bucks this year that I'm actually frustrated. Gun season is 10 days away and it's time to score one for the team. The jerky has been flying with the couple does I have taken, so it's time to put some fresh ham in the freezer and the next buck bigger then a spike or 4pt is going to get it.

Hey fellas. I was just going to tell you that I scored the buck that I shot and it is a lot less than I thought it was going to be, it only scored 100 3/8. But at least it is something to add to the team score.

Oh and today was the opening day of the gun season here in Indiana and I shot a pretty good size one. It is the biggest one anyone has taken on the farm that I hunt. It is a big 10 pointer with a 19 3/8 inside spread. It is a really old deer and has 6 inch bases. It is the biggest deer I have ever taken. I scored him earlier today and he scored 144 5/8. I will put some pictures up here when my camera battery gets charged. Good luck to all.
