We finally got some rain here in Indiana. It wasn't a whole lot but I would say around a inch or so. Its the first time it has rained here in about three weeks.

I did a little dove hunting here yesterday evening as well. It was really windy and rainy the whole time but I didn't care. I ended up getting seven but I should of gotten more but when they would fly with the wind they were BOOKING. They were flying so fast you had to lead them so much. They were very tough to kill. Anyone else do some dove hunting recently?

Don't do any bird hunting...we are expecting some rain tonight and tomorrow. We got a good rain last week, so I hope we get another one this week. The trees here are starting to change, and a few leaves are starting to drop. Nothing much, but it's around the corner.

Here in Wisconsin the acorn drop seems to be pretty heavy. It's hard to believe with it being so dry but the flooding we had in spring seemed to help.

Time to set up on the acorn flats and wait for the big boys to come. Just got back from hanging one last stand for awhile. Things are looking good.

The wet spring certainly spruced things up here to. A lot of food sources for the deer...so usually that spreads them out. Makes the hunting alittle more difficult, but not impossible. I expect a good season..but here in WV we have to wait till Oct 18(a full week later then usual wv opener). I will however get the chance to get into the woods in Ohio at the end of the month so I don't know what to expect up there other then the usual hunting the corn fields and/or bean fields.
