X2 Chase.....Well I just got back from all day sits Sat. & Sun. Only saw 1 deer, A spike who I passed on. Winds were horrible all weekend but temps. were nice and cool. Other people were seeing good bucks so I don't think the wind was too much of a factor. I'll try and get back on it next weekend. Good luck team.

Nice job Chase. Congrats
Finally I'm up and running again, ended up having to get a new hard drive.
Well, no news here. Been hunting hard and have not been seeing the deer as I should be. Have yet to see a buck chasing a doe. Bucks are searching, but I have yet to see anything to shoot within range.Elected to pass on 12 different bucks so far. Late Oct. Ihad a big buck with a droptine come through at 63 yards, to far for me.Seems like the big ones have this 60 yard hangup with me this year. Have a few more days to hunt, as I go back to work tommorrow after 3 weeks off.
Good Luck and Congrats to the fortunate.

Well guys unfortunately I didn't get it done. I really wanted to get the buck I was after before rifle starts in Mo on Saturday. I think the rut has been pushed too far back. I had 6 days in the stand and saw roughly 50 deer with about 30 or so in shooting range but nothing I was looking for. Largest buck I saw was a 125' 8 point...I think. He winded me before getting into range. I scared the monster buck that I guesstimate to be around 150'-160' when I went to check my game camera. He was behind a tree I use for my climber. Figures! I hope he makes it through rifle season or I get a crack at him. Don't worry I'll be out there after rifle season ends but it's pretty hard hunting then. I still have doe families together with button bucks in tow. Maybe the moon theory is right. I'll see about it this weekend! Good luck guys.

I've got 1 more weekend until first shotgun season here. I'll be out Sat. & Sun. Hopefully the wind will be a little less brutal this time!
