My season starts on Sept. 13th, I'm on my way out to one of the properties, to put some stands out right now.
Here are a couple names I came up with..........

Team Mossy Horns
Team High Tines
Team Pass Through
Team Dead Down Wind
Team Dominant Buck or Buck Dominators
Swamp Bucks
Broadhead Bandits
Rackoholics

Just a few to think about.

Well so far we have 6 votes for names.....Breakdown.........

If 4 out of 6 like Broadhead Bandits, then I'll go along with that name. Thats 5, and would be the majority of the votes.
So unless somebody has a problem with the name, let's use it.

Well I see everyones in favor of Broadhead Bandits , thats fine with me too so let's make it offcial.
I'll P. M . Rob with the news and have our team thread changed , now we can get to work on an avatar / logo.
I'll try to contact some old friends that know how to do this sorta thing and see if theycan come up with something.
In the meantime if anyone else knows someone or can do this kinda thing , see if they can and post it up for the rest of us to see.

Yea .. I can't wait either , Octorber 1st can't get here fast enough ... hey gzg38b where abouts is Flushing ?
Is it any where near Chelsea /Stockbridge area , I'll be doing most of my hunting around there.
It's a place where the locals call the ( four corners ) four countys meet / join together at that spot , ( public land ) on both sides of the dirt road.

These last couple of weeks are gonna be some of the longest of the year!
That sounds good RD, hopefully we can get a couple good ones made up and choose one from there. I wish I had all the software and knew how to do it.

We went and glassed the soybean field I will be hunting next week(9/1/08:D). Saw a couple of good size deer right as the sun came up but could not really see what they were. Its going to make this next week a long one. I will be getting my clothes washed and ready to go.

On a side note, I was at the hospital with my mother tonight and there was a guy in the ER that had been bitten by a Rattle Snake. Everyone please be careful while in the field. Those things are no joke.

Lucky for NW Missouri we don't have any rattlesnakes. We're fairly lucky in terms of animals that can harm us here. Only a few mountain lion sightings, no bears and no rattlesnakes. Have seen a copperhead however once but not during the season. Be careful out there.

Thankfully the only type of devil creature like that here are guarder snakes, but we do have bears, and wolves running around.

I have some good ones on the cam, 3 shooters and another of a buckthat I've decided to shoot if he gives me the chance.(He will score less than what I normally shoot, but he's a good 7 point)

Nice bucks indeed PYbuckhunter , hope you get a shot at one of them.
I don't have or use trail cams cause I hunt public land all the time but the area that I hunt most is a spot that most other hunters don't.
It's a very big piece of land that you gotta go thru a very mucky swamp and thick brush to get to itand I've seen three very nice bucks in there.
One has a nice tall browtined eight point basket rack and the other has nice wide thick massed ten pointer and the third one has a drop tine on one side and I counted seven points on one side.
All I have to do is be at the right place at the righttime , Ihave a goodidea on where they bed and where they feed.
I'll be putting my treestands up September 1st and I already built up a ground blind ( shell ) so I can put my double bull blind up inside it , that saves me time brushing it in.

Here you go guys, Got a few bucks hanging around. We are hoping these deer make it through the season b/c we don't believe these are shooters this year. I went out yesterday and cut lanes for my new climber. This area of our property hasn't been hunted in over five years so I'm hoping I can connect with a monster.
