Sweet! Most likely you'll pass right through where I live, since its hard not too because it is smack dab in the middle of the state. Are you guys going with an outfitter or a DIY hunt? Should be a good time to go, always good stuff that week. This year, the activity was a little later than I've seen, but that was mostly weather related I reckon. It was hot as hell during that time, lots of night movement.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a cold snap that week. The one problem I have noticed is that the moon will be on it's way to full that week. Hopefully that won't make then too nocturnal. If it is cold enough, that should have them up moving in the middle of the day...in theory! My buddy that has the land in Schyuler county said they saw the best rutting activity the last week of October and the first week of November. I'm hoping that since we'll be farther North of there, we'll hit it just right. Needless to say, I can't wait for next fall!
We'll have to meet up for a cold one on our way through!

Horrendous weather this weekend. 1/2" of ice fell on thurs night/fri morning, making it extremely dangerous to be in the woods with the branches falling. Saturay I wanted to get out, the weather was decent, but the wind picked up and the branches started raining again. I went out to my property and poked around a little, deciding if it would be safe to hunt, but after getting smacked about 10 times with falling debris, I headed back home. Yesterday was double digits below zero wind chill...so we went duck hunting! Managed 11 drakes and 4 geese, hell of a good day. My face will probably never be the same from the cold though. Our deer season goes until 1/15 so I should be able to get out again, weather permitting.

RE: Official Team 39 thread
Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that I'm alive.
I purchased a new home back in October and haven't had internet access since (bought a forclosure and have been busy remodeling).
I've checked in from time to time here at work but was a little concerned about logging on because of our crazy IT staff.
However, I was just selected for a new job and will only be here a few more weeks anyway.
Anyway, Congrats to everyone that got it done this year. Sorry to say that I couldn't close the deal with my bow. I'd like to blame it on the new house affecting my time in the woods, but I was able to see quite a few deer the few days I hunted in OH, PA, and MD. I ended up taking a decent 7pt with the 300mag in PA and 2 doe the first day of flintlock so at least the freezer is full.
Again, Congrats to everyone on a fine season.
