I've still got about 6 weeks. I'm going to PA the last week of October and the first week of November. Basically, my season boils down to 12 solid days. There is a possibility I may be back up there during late season, that is if I don't bag one in the fall.

I start Monday the 15th in CT. I won't be hunting every day but I will try to get out a couple times a week. I'm hoping to get out on Monday, but we'll see how that goes with work. Worst case I'll be out Next Saturday unless we have another storm. I'll start in RI on Oct 1.

GOT BUSTED BY A BRUISER! 2 busted out of a thicked 20 yds downwind both in the 100's, I was thinking crap, then a monster followed them out of the thicket.. I don't think it was the one I am after but he was a freak, atleast 25" spread, I'm so depressed.
What do you guys suggest, my plan is to back out for a couple weeks, wait for the acorns to drop, and hunt a southwest wind only. I just hope he's gone for good.

It's still early. I don't think that their patterns will be all that messed up by it. I'm guessing you've got some form of food source nearby and that food will keep them in their patterns until the rut.
