I went out and saw a doe and fawn tonight. Then on the way home I saw a roughly 140" buck standing right by the side of the road as I was going around a corner. One step and I'd have clipped him. That was pretty cool though.

Hey guys, hope everyone's hunting is going good. Good luck chasing that non-typical Opel. I will be headed out Friday to try and put another buck down with the bow. I had put the bow down about the last two weeks and picked up the video camera. I video three different guys during their hunts. No animals taken yet, the moon has really been screwing us.

I leave on friday night for a 2 day hunt at a military base here in minnesota (camp ripley). it's definitely the big buck capital of mn. i shot my biggest archery buck there in 2005. there's one solid day of drinking before the hunt starts on sunday I've seen more big bucks there then anywhere else and I don't even get drawn every year. this will be my best chance at an archery buck. we'll see...
