Hey all, just checking in since I have been out of a touch for a bit. We went up to the in-laws property in NY for a week. Heard a loud / close pack of coyote the first night. All was quiet the second. The third had a 400+ pound black bear 97 yards from the house. The dog barked before we could get a good picture, but this was him exiting stage right! He was longer then the 800 pound hay bales in the field. Still no deer. . . Got a baby buck (small 4 point - legal in NY but not what I would shoot) on the trail camera and finally found a few does out in the fieldjust after dark our last night. Doe season just opened here in PA and waiting for buck season to open the 4th.

Thats cool. I am going bear hunting next year. Not sure on all the details yet because a buddy of mine is setting everything up. its gonna be a good time.

ive always wanted to go bear hunting but i cant because im only 14 and i dont have the money to go

The price that I was told for a hunt in Canada was $1400. I didnt think that was all that bad but I would rather go elk hunting. I think that would be a better time.

i cant go hunting this weekend. i have to cut wood and do some fencing for my grandpa before he has surgery
