Ite guys here is a few pics and stories, but a normal the URL arent working, I hate Hunting.nets format

Ite, here we go
KY opening week-end, we hunt near the BIG Bone Licl State Park in Boone County KY. My good buddy Ken has 120 acres there and a furnished pole barn with utilities that we stay in.

The first night and morning I sat just off a salt lick in this stand

On the first morning I shot this doe late in the morning, I should have known better cause when I climbed down there was a nice shooter at 40 yrds.

That evening Jeremy sat on the same salt lick, he shot this 2 yr old 9pt

It was a very successful trip and as usual we had a blast. Im headn back this week sometime to give the salt lick another try

and

Today I re-built the tree stand I shot my very first deer out of. It was originally built by my Grandpa. He passed in 2002. I thought it would be a good pre-season project and help keep his memory alive as well as a reminder of how it all started. This is honeslty what deer hunting means to me.

My helper

Finished project........anyone wana give it a try?

Well, you could but then AK would be too much like CA and I'd have to live someplace else!

Congrats on the doe Medicsnoke!

Congrats on the doe..man posting pics is easy. You have the url

Hit this button in the post window and paste this in the box that pops up! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/medicsnoke/Sept08003.jpg

If my only success on this team this year is teaching you to post pics, and by seasons end you can do it, I'll consider it a great year!

Just did some last minute scouting and tree climbing. My season starts in about 10.5 hours. Temps are not as cool as I'd hoped for. Low of 62 tomorrow morning and clear skies. The area I'm hunting looks very promising but I'm not sure how the full moon will affect the day.

Hunt early, early and late, late. Actually it's 8:30pm there, if I were you I'd be asleep getting ready to get up and get in my stand at 0'dark30. Topple a bruiser!!!!

Made it out last night for a great night in the stand (see my blog for my journal entry). Had about a dozen deer come within range (does and a spike buck), but saw a shooter at 30 yds (through thick brush - no shot).

My buddy just got back from WY and arrowed this 354" bull. It's his 13th elk, but his FIRST taken with a bow and he shot it on the first day he was there!
